Eyup, thanks for coming to say hello! My name is Jodie, I'm 28 years old and I'm not sure if you can already tell already, but I'm a Yorkshire gal. I previously studied acting but more recently have become a writing addict hoping for this to become a full time job. When I’m not spending time with my gorgeous boyfriend, I love writing about my thoughts, opinions and feelings on all things female related in this crazy world we live in. Having discussions with others on how to navigate through life being a young Northern woman in the modern world! Also I’m a massive coffee addict and a big foodie so don’t worry, there’ll be a lot of food based posts too!
My Story
So, I’m just a baby at this, this is my first ever blog so welcome to the journey with me! I’ve always been a creative person, always needed that outlet. Forever feeling like I’d explode if I didn’t let it all out. Drawing, painting, writing, you name it.. My first ever love was always acting but in 2018 during my last year at drama school, I took up my interest in writing. I wrote a full length play and since then didn’t really stop and somehow ended up thinking I’d be a great blogger (I’ll let you be the judge) I have a lot of opinions, a lot of interests and have had a lot of unique struggles in my 28 years on this beautiful planet.
This isn’t a sob story, nothing on this blog will be. There will however, be a lot of subjects I talk about which I don't feel are spoken about enough in the mainstream media. No negative energy here - only honesty, kindness and respect - if you can give me that, we’re gonna be great pals! This will be a safe space, a place where there will be no judgement, I don’t ever want to be heard for the sake of it either. I've always been an outspoken person but a lot of which I’ll be discussing are things I have and still do feel very alone with. Please let me know if you ever feel like that too! So, with all that being said; read on my darlings and I hope you subscribe for more and I’m always going to be open to suggestions/thoughts as I want to continue to grow as a person and a writer.
This is the start of a journey which I’ve no idea where it will end up but I am excited to be taking off with all you readers by my side, let’s go!
